I know I'm a college kid but the truck is extremely well built and maintained with no corners cut (except maybe how I mounted the reservoirs but I'm having professional brackets with skids getting fabbed for them day I get back into town

Never realized how cheap it is to get a Catseye (only body style Silverado I like) 6.6 with an Allison is, so considering buying a tow pig and buying a half finished 4Runner crawler. Putting FJ80 axles or one tons under it with an imported 4.0 TD from I think it's a 79 cruiser.

My roommate just bought a $300 junk XJ 2WD with a blown motor and trans were shopping for a 5.3 with a 4l80 we're gonna swap in, and retrofit it with Motor Trend's $450 twin turbo eBay setup. While this is goin on, one of my best friends is swapping his FJ 60 body with a legit Japanese imported TD (turbo diesel) 5 speed swapped onto an FJ80 frame, gonna help him cut it down 4" then he'll have an FJ60 on an FJ80 frame so coils, e lockers and stronger axles. Also getting a 150:1 T case. All my other buddies have Jeeps on 35s, I'm falling behind rig wise

Plus, having something reliable like a diesel to DD would be nice

My sliders shipped today! Since I can install them in December, I'll just consider them my present to myself.

21k???? Don't want to stir anything up, but that's a lot of money for such an "old" truck. I know the prices are high, but that sounds unrealistic to me.

Yeah I know its steep, just putting it out there right now to see if anyone is interested. I'll price it more aggressively if a good base crawler pops up on Facebook that I like, until then i'm in no rush. Still not even sure about selling the truck

Yeh, just wanted to put it out there i'm considering. Would price more aggressively if I found a deal so I can turn after selling the truck and buy something new immediately.

Yeah, but it kind of ruins the fun! haha. I'm too comfortable behind the wheel of this truck and working on it, just thinking about something new. There was a first gen 4Runner with brand new 37s, 22re and a dual Atlas that popped up on Craigslist a few months ago for $3500 that i'm kicking myself for not buying. Incase a deal like that pops up again, i'd like to flip the truck and jump on the crawler, then pick up a 6.6 off Craigslist. When I bought the truck, had two serious $18000 offers. Since then, 24k more miles, some body damage, and some mods (ik you'll never get the money back off mods). Ik what i'd want to sell it for if it came time, and $21k isn't a bad start point for negotiations.

Came up to a light with a nice black second gen. Rolled em down and asked it he was on TW.

    He said no.
    I said nice truck.

He said he just bought it.

Had TC UCA's. Aftermarket wheels, KO2's, was a clean looking truck.

    Hope he gets on here.
