I replaced the rotors on my Taco at about 45K, went with Bosch.

 

That place sucked, the one and only time I went.

i guess CP is considering some sort of a live music/ noise ordinance and their lease was up. seems more like a Flying Saucer scenario down at the Triangle. Lease expire, renewing would cost to much, quit while ahead.

oh no.. I loved that outdoor venue.. just a great place to hang out and listen to music.. not having to drive all the way to Austin.

The one and only time was a happy hour during the grand opening of the first iteration, back when it was called Reunion something or other. The power was out, (just to that place), so they were running on the generators and no A/C. If I'm running opening a brand new restaurant and have a pretty decent crowd, willing to sit in a hot establishment, I'm comping a appetizer or two per table. Nope. We got the "Texas Caviar", which was some bullshit chopped up who the hell knows what, and an order of 4 short ribs that were shorter than my winkie, fer chrissakes. $10.95 for each of those two dishes. Never.Went.Back.

I read the closure was due to a new noise ordinance, which is getting to be more common around here.

Noise ordinance there is fucking stupid, you got the highway and the Hospital, couple a guys singing n playing guitar ain't gonna hurt. I agree with you on the no power thing, obviously someone wasn't thinking hard enough there.

 

Lot of idiots in CP. We quit going to hockey games there, due to the seat design/layout. There are some decent seats, but most of them are too narrow, with no legroom. One of the marketing doofuses contacted me about buying season tickets, and I laughed, mentioning the seating was worse than what you see on airplanes. I also told him that they could fix the problem of the long lines to get into the arena parking lot by adding a charge to the tickets, and declaring "free parking". I pointed out the real genius of this idea, (besides not having to pay people to collect money in the parking lot, nor having the long lineup of cars trying to get in), is that you have captured the revenue, WHETHER OR NOT THE PEOPLE ACTUALLY COME TO THE GAME! He said that sounded like a good idea, but that he didn't feel comfortable bringing it up to his boss.

Like I said, lot of idiots out there...

 

CP and Leander are in a weird transition phase. it's gonna go on for a while. especially Leander.

i hear there's talk of a bridge to Lago across the lake. that'll make things interesting.
