I would highly advise anyone not fully armored and fully comfortable with their truck and the chance of body damage to stay away from Wolf Caves

I went out with no armor, a 3" lift, and 33s and I was okay. That said, the park manager dude gave me and my buddy a guided tour that accounted for what my truck could take. Your mileage may vary.

Looked at the map. I shall be confining myself to the park roads. "ooh, gravel! I stay here."

No, you'd have to add a holster yourself. I'm sure you could attach a Serpa or something similar to the center divider. The Salex divider fits amazingly snug though. I'll probably add a holster down the line, but currently everything fits nicely. I'm confident that if there was a round in the chamber, the gun wouldn't randomly discharge, but I don't like doing that without the glock being holstered.

Also, anyone down for a weekday meetup/camping/wheeling/etc some time? I work nearly every weekend for the next month or two. Any other civil service/medical field/weirdos out there? :D

Just curious, but why? I have a 2017 TRD OR 4x2 and want to install spindle lift up front, but want to stick with 16 inch wheels. What's hard for me to get my head around is why Maxtrac cost 1/2 as much as Camburg or CST spindles? Also, why do CST spindles work with 16 inch wheels, but Maxtrac's will not? Not sure if Camburg's will work with 16's or not, but they are $1,000 and Maxtrac's are $400. What's the deal?:annoyed:

Are Maxtracs made of cheap materials? Does Camburg forge theirs in Valhallah at the same foundry where Thor's Hammer was crafted? Are CST's made out of the same shit as Captain America's shield? hahaha...but seriously, would love any additional information that well-informed members could shoot my way.

The Maxtracs are very well made and are solid iron. A couple coats of Rustoleum and you are good to go.

The reason they don't work with 16" wheel is just due to the way the spindles are made. Super beefy.

    I run them

The only thing cheap about Maxtrac spindles are the mounting nuts for the lower control arms. I don't know why, but they suck. For a few more bucks, you can go get 5/8x18 nylon insert lock nuts and never have an issue. The Maxtrac spindles are super beefy, so beefy that you need extra wheel clearance. Only other thing I dis notice about them is that you can't torque the tie rod nut all the way to spec, gotta only go like 45ft#'s instead of 62ft#'s. They are nice spindles.

Maxtracs do work with 16s but you need a backspace of 4.5 I believe. Stock wheels wont work without spacers. There are plenty of people of TW running them with 16s.

If you're going to wolf caves and don't have a really built/armored rig, then make sure you have at least a suspension lift, oversize wheels, and someone who knows the park well to guide you. A locker will help too, as well as a high degree of comfort with your truck and offroading. You will likely get body damage and will be limited severely in where you can go, but it's fun if you're careful. I plan on going back once I get my armor panels made.
