I tapped into the wire that is your brake wire. If you tap into the tail light wire (the solid green wire) then it will only illuminate and it will stay lit whenever you turn on the tail lights. You want to tap into the green with red stripe so that every time you hit the brakes, your third brake light gets power

I tapped in in the driver side brake light. Not in the third brake light..

Okay sounds good. I dont know why it would have three wires as the third brake light for the cap only uses two (a positive and a negative).. an easy way to test which wires do what would be to get a 9v battery and hook up the negative and then the positives one at a time to see which wire is for what. My guess is that there are two positives, one for the dome light, one for the third brake light for the cap, and then a common negative (the negative that both use).

My cap’s third brake light only uses a postive and a negative though

Is there a separate pigtail for the dome light?

 

Did you get a pre and post alignment spreadsheet from 4wp? Caster is a big factor at higher speeds. Factory spec caster isn't good enough, you need more.

I think his third wire is a signal wire. Should be red, black, and blue. Blue being signal, red being hot. Blue can be capped off.

 

Interesting.. mine wasnt like this, but ive seen third brake lights on caps that light up with the signals. This makes more sense
