Wednesday is starting our rough after yesterday. Two things happened yesterday:

    I got badged:

And I broke my first window:

Mornin All :playball: one more boring day of floor float before we can begin carpet install here on my job. Gonna be a slow day :bored: Hope everyone has a great HUMP DAY! :bikewhoops:

Looks good. Also dig the soft top.

@tacopromatt - bumper & lights look awesome. :headbang:

Sure. Here is a link on the product description. I'd buy it off Amazon especially if you have a prime account. Don't let the price scare you; one bottle will last you years if you use for only one vehicle.

Opti-Seal is a very versatile product. It can be used on paint, plastic (headlights for example), rubber trim, wheels and even glass. It can be applied as a drying agent, meaning that after you've done a final rinse on the vehicle you can spray it on while wet and wipe it dry with a microfiber drying towel or apply it as you would like a wax. It will typically last 3 - 6 months depending on conditions (EX: garage kept vehicle will last longer than outside).

This stuff goes a long long way and I mean a long way. For example, one spray from the bottle will do your entire door on a Tacoma. That includes the rubber trim and the glass too. Less is better with this stuff. If you use too much you'll find yourself with an oily surface which just means the product has not soaked in and needs to be spread around better or simply wiped off with a microfiber towel.

I am also really considering doing this mod from all the talk about it lately. Your pictures also are very convincing.

I was trying to close it and it just up and shattered on me. I'm going to try routing a replacement out of acrylic when I the truck back and can measure it up.

There was a guy who made a fiberglass insert for his window to mount a Rotopax in. Was super clean.

Can't find a photo or the post though.

I'm going to fix the window but the camper is coming off anyway. I plan to do bed rails and RTT eventually.

Any issues with heat on the lenses like the DIY thread talks about?

No sir I haven’t noticed anything significant just a little warmer seal is still good an no signs of melting. I’d be more worried about the foglights if anything.
