What manufacturer are you going with?

 

I'm trying to stay under 1k for a set of 4 wheels, i also really like the stance you get with the wheels your looking at.

 

I got my level 8s for well below that. -10 offset. When it had 1.25" spacers it had crazy width. I like the current stance, but even something like a .5" spacer would bump it out nicely and keep you well within your price range.

 

lol random question for anybody more knowledgable than i, if i were to get wheels with a lot of offset and backspace would i still be able to use those same wheels if i went lt in the future (thinking pre runner)? edit:+3 inch control arms with glass and deavers in the rear

 

What are the restrictions for the kit you are looking at now? Study there and make purchases based on that.

No idea. I will figure all that out when I get there. I have at least another year on my tires. Besides, I will probably go crazy and do lift, wheels, tires and bumper all at once

I am not sure. Ideally it would be an Icon stage4+ (or similar) but probably something less expensive for my first lift. I don't want more than 3in total lift.

Not being an Austin native, what are the laws regarding insuring a non-running vehicle? I found a project I want to pick up but trying to find out if I have to insure it when it's not on the road.

 

IANAL, but if it's staying on private property I can't imagine it needs insurance.
