Honestly never blown a fuse in a fan before. Quite honestly never even knew these things had them!

You think a power surge could have popped it? Even though it's plugged into a surge protector

 

Surge protectors are only good for one spike then you gotta replace the fuse in it.

 

I would look to atex/ altex locally as they should have a selection of fuses that you would not normally go at a hardware or automotive store.
