If there is one thing I learned this weekend it is that lockers are an essential piece to ANY crawler. If I had a locker I would have had a lot more capability this past weekend. It is without a doubt the #1 next upgrade on my list. I know they are expensive but if crawling is something you are into and you want to do a locker will no doubt make it far more enjoyable.

 

So long as you're careful, I've always felt lockers can help prevent damage. You don't have to use as much speed or bump stuff as hard.

 

Sure as hell won't tweak your frame if you had a rear locker.

ecgs will ship you the diffs without your diffs .. you can swap them in a day then send yours back and they will refund you the core charge

Or, you can just go balls deep and tear in to it yourself.

 

I've done my front and rear diffs 3 times by myself, it sucks

 

After looking through the ARB instructions, I am staying far away from that...........

So what I'm hearing is sell the TRD Sport and get an off-road??

 

put a locker in the rear of the sport and be the same, if not better than the o/r.

 

If you want to have it easy, get the third member from an Offroad an be done with it. (need to do some wiring)

I wouldn't sell the truck just for the locker......

@sarsaparilla had a good point, a locker would have made it a lot less material murdering.

But it's not worth ditching a truck where you know what you got.

I will do all the prep work for my locker and have the shop only do my third member. Will minimize labor a lot.

 

Do they take walk ins?
