Not sure if he wants us clogging up his thread so I brought it here, hope that's ok!

I've got my eye on headstrong 2" coils and 5100s assembled set to zero.

I've got the invoice in my email from Marie, just waiting on this check and trying to decide if it's worth it or if I should just run spacers becuase mall crawl.

Honestly, I just want a little bit more lift with a little better ride.

She says those will give me nearly 3" (prerunnah) but will settle to close to 2" with the weoght of the bumper

So, if it all works out I'll be at 6" up front (1 inch higher than current lift)

On the hunt for an axle shim or something inexpensive to bump the rear up half inch.

Absolutely not a problem! I tend to fill threads with banter and BS, especially when @MattCowsmasher is around lol :D

Don't blame you for wanting a better ride, just got my 5spd running again yesterday and when I started driving it, I realized how much firmer the suspension is.

Those coils sound like a nice option! whats the spring rate on those? and how much does that bumper weigh? still cant wait to see that baby on the truck!!

Do you have any forward rake right now, and you just planning on keeping the truck level? I really dig the look of a leveled taco, I need to get my lowering kit installed on the front of my truck so I don't have to roll with the bro lean anymore.. more worried about getting it to not run so rich right now though. If all goes well, I will be installing a 2.8 pulley tonight :burnrubber:

After the lift, itll be time for some bigger tars and a regear! You have you thought any more about which locker you're wanting to go with?

Wheew!!! Zero rake on the truck as it's hub to fender measurements are even front to back and I'd prefer to keep it that way!

I'm not sure of the spring rates in all honesty...

And, havnt been able to dive into the locker thing just yet. But, I'm wanting the air locker.

Very nice! Just the way I like it!

I'd look into the spring rates before you pull the trigger. If you're wanting to keep ride quality nice, id try to stay close to stock, just go with a longer spring. My dad has Eibach 620s on his 2.7 DCSB prerunner w/ an ARB bumper (no winch) and it rides kinda stiff. Definitely didn't sag any though, and he ended up with about 2.5 inches of lift.

Air locker is so nice.. definitely worth the extra coin imo..

I'll for sure try to get that hashed out before I drop the coin.

You know which coils he got?

If ride quality is all you want, unpopular opinion inbound but Zeb and I agree 5100s are too stiff for regular city driving. I had them for a short period of time on my old first gen Tundra and he had them for a short period of time on his old Tacoma. Granted we had them cranked for a bit of lift, but I had them with aftermarket coils on my Tundra and jumped to the coilover bandwagon as soon as I could, and didn't even bother with anything less than a Fox 2.5 on my current Taco

Unpopular opinion again, a 1.5" spacer on a mall crawler midsize truck with stock suspension (besides the spindles which don't throw off factory geometry) is no big deal

Going with powder coat job on this beast! And yeah, manpower.

I've got a couple things I need to line up first (suspension update and odds and ends)
Which clip did y'all have them on?

On my Tundra they were like on the minimum clip that provided a bit of lift, sorry it's been so long I can't remember. But the setting one above stock height. Zeb's was at the second from tallest which is like 1.75" if my memory serves?

Been so long since I've lurked on TW my internet mechanic skills are lacking

@ChadsPride your goal on your Taco is Kings anyway, right? I wouldn't dick around with anything less than, if you want ride height throw a spacer on and call it good until you can get the big daddies

Fuuuuuuuuk man, there's no way I could break that kind of bread.

Would seriously take years to save up.

Just trying to get this truck to a point where I can kind of take a break and rebuild my financial status.

The WSIII (her name) has literally taken every dime I had saved up from when I was a little boy.

But, it's well worth it. Just need a tiny break from spending.
