Does anyone have any recommendations for a detailing place that won't break the bank? I want my Tacos interior professionally done; steam cleaned carpets and all. It's pretty nasty after... well... my last incident

It could also use a good buff but im a broke college kid and would rather spend my surplus money on truck mods and :rasta: (don't worry folks my savings are good and growing)

h2o does pretty good details, I haven't been there in a while but if I remember correctly the full detail was about $250. They have student/military/teacher discounts too.

EDIT : Found a place up in Cedar Park called Dave's auto detail. Details start at $200 up to the Presidential detail which is $350.

Users of Samsung Galaxy phones beware - there is an active scareware attack going on now. Perps are installing keyloggers and taking screenshots of the phones, then emailing the victim's work email addresses threatening the release of a humiliating video unless they pay a 1/2 bitcoin ransom. There's no proof yet that the bad actor was able to actually activate the camera, but they can screen shot and compromise any accounts accessed from the phone. It appears the threat vector is through adult web sites accessed via the default Samsung browser.

    So...

Make sure you :jerkoff: using Firefox or Chrome, Galaxy users, and put black tape over your cameras when you do.

They’re not worth the investment over a steam machine. If you’re wanting to “shampoo” the interior; an interior foam cleaner, good ole elbow grease and a shopvac to pull out the excess liquid is all you need.

Trust me; I wasted nearly $2000 on shampoo machines when I was mobile detailing full time.

@CedarPark If I were you; before spending any money having the interior cleaned, I would pull the carpet back to inspect for mold or heavy mildew. If you do find mold I would highly suggest finding replacement carpet over cleaning.

Solid advice Mark. I'll look into upgrading the shop vac then.

Mines a smaller one and although I keep it VERY clean I think a larger more powerful unit would help.

Agreed! Could use a couple new fittings anyways. Might as well get a nicer unit.

I used a small shopvac for the longest time man and it works good; however a bigger one allows for better suction which means it will take less time. A rigid from Home Depot would be a great option and of course can serve multiple functions around the house too.

Here is the steam machine I have for my vehicles: https://www.amazon.com/slp/car-steamer/ms93rgj8ec6k3dn
