Would have to be rubber really. The frame flexes different than the body, I'd say up to 1/2" or so, if you use plastic it would just get destroyed I think.

Yes sir! Picked up a set and can't really use the rears. Approximately 4 inches to short

So the rears need to find a better home :notsure:

I was looking to get 150 for the set, but I am also open to reasonable offers/trades since they don't do me any good.

A disclaimer, it seems like the set won't fit on a Tacoma. Turns out it is for an FJ or 4Runner....... =/

If that part number is right then those that are planning on running All-Pro Expo leafs can use them as the leafs will require the longer rear shocks that are normally meant for 4th gen 4Runners.

So totally unrelated to anything else being talked about: I'm trying install d-rings in the front of my truck bed. That requires me to remove the torx screws up there, but I don't have anything with enough torque. Any idea on the best way to get them removed? Perhaps somewhere I can use a torque wrench?

Edit: I'm not sure the $25 from Harbor Freight will do it (will it?), and the better ones are $100-ish, even at HF. I'm also not a fan of buy->use->return...

My breaker bar has a 1/2" head on it, and when I've used adapters to step down (I have a 3/8" torx bit) in the past, I've just sheared them clear off. Maybe I need a 3/8" breaker bar.

You mean the adapter? You could use the correct ratchet and a pipe extension. But that might crack the ratchet (did that before...)

Yeah, I sheared the 3/8 head right off of the adapter. That was fun. I think I'll need to grab a 3/8" breaker bar. That's probably the easiest solution... or stop at a garage and see if they can do it for me real quick.
