Oh nice - I hadn't seen those before, that looks pretty sweet. Thanks a lot for the heads up. I'll be curious to hear what, if anything, @tacopromatt has to say about the oz!

Oztent makes Malamoo. I have the 3 person Malamoo and it's been awesome. Great bad weather tent as the integrated rain fly is almost to the ground. I can certainly recommend, especially now that you can get them for super cheap.

    IMG_0117.jpg

I've now moved to a T4 Gazelle so I can more easily take the family. I've gotten tired of sleeping on the ground with the Malamoo so I got a full size cot to go inside the Gazelle. Certainly not saying anything bad about the big Oztents as I had my eye on one for a while. You can't beat the Gazelle's price, quality and ease of setup. It's a joke how fast it goes up and packs away.

@CaptAmerica Let me know if you need Aaron's number as he's a friend of mine, although he's super active on IG so he should answer you quickly via DM. @fabtechwaterjet

That’s waaaay up north for me, though. I have a pathological thing about going north of the river.

You can email him a file/design directly. If you hire him, I'm sure he could meet you south for delivery, seeing as he drives all over town during the week.

I got nothing yet. Still working on ideas. We need lettering that can be mounted in relief in front of a stone wall, with some kind of solar light ringed up to illuminate the sign. What that will look like I’m pretty open to.

Aaron can direct you accordingly. He's done plenty of signs around town.

I consider that west. Still on this side of the river and I didn’t have to take Mopac or 35.

    That matters!

Awesome!! Thanks a lot for the information. Yeah I've been looking at the bigger Oz's, like the RX4. I like their heavy duty material with the rubberized bottom "tub" a lot. I'll have to check out the Gazelle's as well! You guys are giving me all sorts of options to look into. back to the drawing board...

That looks like one of the 1985-era M-1008s that my unit had when I was stationed at Bergstrom (and it was still an Air Force Base). We excessed them when my unit relocated to Arizona, replacing them with humvees in 1992.

They'll pull God down off the mountain if you can keep the tires from spinning.

Looks nicer than when WE had it!
