"Our team" "My team" can't stand it. Not a big football person, it was kind of cool to see what will probably be one of the best runs in the sport's history though. But to make it like, a part of who you are is just excessive. Unless you work for or are on the team, nah.

sounds about what I expect, just didn't know if there was a lot of skeeters or not.

Geronimo! I'm coming in, hold on tight!
Won't be buying a house, we looked at the house we stayed at on airbnb. About 5 years ago it was ~250$, sounds about right....current estimate was +1m. o_O can't afford that crap.

She's on the meds for ticks, those do really well here. RI has a huge tick population.

I need to post up the mountain lion preserve area signs. Someone was out looking for they're cat recently and asked if I'd seen it. I said no, but I bet either the mountain lion or coyotes got it. Mufukkas think they're safe. I did however get aroused by gun fire out my back deck yesterday. I was quite jealous.

The mosquitoes and horse flys are nothing close to what you have up there in the summer, it is very tolerable. In the Austin area the summers are extremely hot though, which makes it quite uncomfortable for camping. Another really big issue in Texas is that there is almost no public land, so off roading is extremely limited to a few areas in west Texas, and private land where you pay to use. No cut lines or logging areas to drive up and explore like you can do up there. About the best place for off road exploring is Big Bend Ranch State Park, which is 8 hours out of Austin. In this regard, Central Texas really sucks.

I've taken this isolation as a chance to practice trimming my own without the public really seeing me lol

well I mean if I would be allowed in I’d be able to help you out. I have limited experience with other people and am not licensed but like hey sharp objects by your neck why not trust some random dude in the internet? :D

Good to know. Off roading is limited up here though. Spots are constantly closed down and gated up. You get into northern Maine and NH or VT sure. But southern New England, not much at all.

glad to hear the skeeters aren’t as bad from someone who knows both :p our summer bugs are rough.

I like the heat. There are heat waves up here and everyone complains, week straight of 95 and I’m outside every day riding my bike going for runs. I thrive in heat. Hate the cold. I know 95 is your norm this time of year through like October. Can’t wait to try it out.

I’ll have to look at Austin area wheeling. When we were there I’ll admit it didn’t really lend itself to that without at least a few hours drive.

While maybe not the best off roading area in the world, Austin is a pretty good town to live and work in. Lots of good people, and still pretty affordable compared with many regions of the country.

oh for sure. I mean I’m in providence. We have dinky trails up the road otherwise it’s a 4 hour drive to decent off roading. It’s a good area but it’s cold. I’m done with the cold.
