Hello all! I recently acquired a Tacoma and would like to join the club. Which of my dogs do I have to sacrifice to the Taco gods..?

I've seen some of the Tacos from this thread around town already. Theyre all badass! I'm looking to build mine up and take her out on some trails. Lots of inspiration to take in.

Here's mine after putting new wheels and tires on it.

What’s the wait time for franklin like now that it’s all take out? Wondering if it’ll be worth it or I’ll just stick to browns.

Browns? I heard it's still a bit of a wait but not as bad as it used to be.

I’ve had browns a few times they’re my favorite but on principal I just won’t wait in line at Franklin. It’s good, it ain’t that good. Not worth it when there’s so many good options in Austin. But if there’s no line I feel like I have to give it a whirl this time. But I also might just stick to browns because I know it’s so damn delicious.

    and. Yes.

Will have to put them on the list to try! Checkout Valentina's Tex-Mex BBQ off Manchaca Rd if you haven't already! I've had Franklin's twice...super delicious but I'm with you about the wait times. Only time I've had it was order to go like a month in advance and then for a friends X-mas party there. So I've never had to actually wait in line :D

    f it. I’ll land there I guess.

I love it. Everyone out of the area flocks for franklin but all the people I’ve met from Austin have basically said what I did. It’s good. Not that good, especially compared to what else is there and what else you can do in the city for 6 hours and then enjoy good bbq elsewhere.

I love browns but valentina it is this go around. Or hell knowing how healthy this road trip will be I could land at both.

If you ever go to Lockhart to shoot at the outdoor range there, hit up the original Black's. It's worth the trip.

I’m coming through on a road trip. Texas plan is Dallas down to Austin, hills country, then Corpus Christi>Houston and then out to New Orleans. So, I could find myself going by there without being out of my way much.

If you end up in Llano, we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE a trip to Cooper's for ribs and Inman's for smoked pork tenderloin and turkey. And pie - they make a scratch-made pie from a 100+ year-old recipe that is outstanding.

Notice that there's a trend. We always know the great places to eat whenever we're out and about.

I actually might end up out that way. I don’t have much for a sweet tooth but if that’s the specialty I can’t say no.

and good on ya. Everyone flicks for the brisket and butts. Sausages and turkey are my favorite things to make on my smoker.

Any got a good alignment shop they would recommend? South or west of Austin would be most convenient
