    Good afternoon y'all.
    So...the scuff/dent/scratch, if want properly fixed, will require the entire side of the bed replaced/painted, plus work on the B pillar, passenger door. The cost will easily surpass $3.5k. A set of King or Fox shocks for that money. I'll definitely leave it and this truck will become the go-anywhere work horse now. :deadhorse:

    I'll casually keep an eye out for a 4Runner
    Do y'all know:
    • mid-level suspension upgrades, such as stage 2 Fox or King, can be, or makes sense to be, installed on a 2WD 4Runner? Not looking for serious off-roading, just improving overall on-road and gravel comfort and handling.
    • On a non-Pro part-time 4WD 4Runner (trims: Off-road, Off-road Premium, Venture Edition), if I want to upgrade suspension, is it true that I ought to avoid the ones equipped with KDSS?
    • Is there any limitation on suspension upgrades with full-time 4WD 4Runners (trims: Limited, Nightshade)?
    @Texoma

    the answers and inputs will help with deciding what trim to pick, thanks in advance

    Avoid 2wd if you're going to take it off road. KDSS is not a deal breaker, but needs a little more attention. No real limitation to the AWD system.

    Cross-posted from classifieds thread. Figured I’d give it one last shot asking you Austin guys directly. My friends in the area all have work or drive cars.

    How big is it, will it fit ok in a 3rd gen short bed with ratchet tie down?
    If the owner is available for pick up at 7:30 am ish I can swing by to pick it up before I have to go to work, park the truck at home, but I'll need you to pick it up no later than 1 am the next day. I live near lots of bars open late at night so there will be plenty of witness/people :D

    If I remember correctly from other threads it will fit a 3rd gen DCSB just not correctly. Like here’s one on a 2nd gen. The guy says he just doesn’t want to meet in the dark so I told him I’d contact him in the morning if I found someone to pick it up. Unsure if 7:30am would work for him.

    Yeah, that's quite big, might need to temporarily mount it on the bed just for transporting it or flip it upside down but may risk scratching it.
    Hopefully someone with more expertise or a Tundra long bed can help you out. Good luck
