Yeah, per their company policy you can't bring in a part and have them paint it.

 

You can call my guy Mark Peralez at Charles Maund Toyota Collision. He verified that he CAN paint parts if a customer brings them in and wants to install themselves. He was a bit concerned about how the OEM Toyota paint would react to a non OEM part (he's a perfectionist), but if you bring it by he can look at it. Said it would be about $300 ish based on what you described above.

Hey thanks for the info and contact info. I've heard the same thing about aftermarket parts from two people now. Unless I can find a OEM part local, new or used, I may have to shelve this idea. Shipping for an OEM bumper cover is more than the cover itself. An OEM bumper cover runs ~$200 and shipping is over $300. Not doing that. I'll put on a complete aftermarket bumper before I do that.

 

DM me the part number, I'll see what I can do there too.

Just ordered a Access Roll-up Cover - Original.. I hope I don't regret it.. anyone know of place that install around Austin? I can try I just don't want to mess it up!

 

You should have gotten the BAK Revolver, a lot sturdier...

Ahhhh... I can't speak to installing that product, but I did install the BAK Revolver X2 on my Tundy.

Of course, as anyone will tell you, I have some mad skeeelz...

 

It's actually pretty easy, I installed a Access roll up LE and it was a breeze. Maybe 1 hour install time. I was very impressed for the price! One thing to note is to condition it a few times per year with the vinyl stuff they give you.

It IS easier. I have put one on 4 Tacoma's since mid-2000's. Newer is better, and they are a breeze to use. Judicious use of Armor All will keep them nice as well, and looking sharp. I love rolling it up in 30 seconds at Lowe's or wherever!

 

Anyone in Austin need my stock 2021 TRD Offroad grille or premium floor mats? I was planning on listing them in the classifieds for $200/$75, but figured I'd offer em up to local fellas first. Say $150 for the grille and $50 for the matts? Matts have never been used and grille has 7 miles on it.
