I remember going to Laredo with my Dad and there was a huge tire fire just across the river. No fucks given. What tires you get for the ole Tundy?

Nuevo Laredo, 1982. I remember this one dude coming up to us, and asking if we liked little girls. We asked how little, and the reply was, "Oh, 15, 14, 13..." We skedaddled!

    upload_2021-2-3_16-17-56.jpg

After downsizing my ProComps that came on the Tundra when I bought it, because I was somehow nervous about it fitting in the garage, even though I had driven it in the garage, and it cleared, (yeah, I know...), then have @CaptAmerica tell me at the one and only Concordia meetup, "it looks like you missed leg day",:bananadead:, I decided to right the wrong! So I got these, https://us.coopertire.com/tires/discoverer-at3-xlt , in 35/12.5/R20. They ride great, and I now have to chase down a rattle in the truck that I never heard before, due to the drone of the mudders.

But you know what they say, about not having anything nice. I was washing it up last night, after the tire install, and discovered a :censored: huge rock chip in the grille surround.

    upload_2021-2-3_16-30-33.jpg

Toyota doesn't sell the surround separate from the grille, and the whole thing is way too :censored: much, so if some has a great body guy for a pretty small job, lemme know!

Dayum! Very nice! I picked up a set of those in 33" back in May last year and they have been great! about 15k miles on them now and they still look like new! @KENNY might be able to help you out with a paint guy. Whoever did his grill did a fine job.

I actually just ordered a pro grille and swapped out the inserts to not be a poser. It was only like 250, 300 @jmdaniel. Just get the older 3rd gen style

I got a paint body guy too though..

You have a part number? At Sparks, the grille and surround wasn’t too bad, but the surround doesn’t come body color, so needs to be painted, for another $300 or so..,

George Strait had a ranch out near Laredo back in the day. My dad was doing some electrical work at the horse stable and took me along one day. Got to skip school. I got to meet George and his dog Buster....not sure if the year. Just before Pure Country came out. One of my childhood highlights.

Warning to anyone considering going near south bound IH-35 coming from north Austin.

    Don't.

Early this morning a tractor-trailer hit the guardrail on the upper deck near Airport.

Trailer is on the upper deck.

Tractor is on the lower deck, having taken the fastest way down.

    Driver didn't make it (duh).

News predicts that 35 will be closed all morning.

I looked, and the SR5 grill, which I have, only comes with one, non-white color. I could buy one of the others, and swap the insert, but think it may be cheaper to just get the surround painted. I can't tell the cost of one of the others, as the links that Roman has on the thread:

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/ultimate-oem-toyota-parts-thread.10707/#post-181100

all lead to either a blank tab or a security warning.

    Thanks anyway...
