They've cleared em. I guided one of my friends through some offroad trails to get around the road block.

I'm in a place called Reagan's Overlook, off Ronald Reagan, a bit north of 2243. I could pee through my back fence line into Georgetown, and it's not because of the size of my well known member, ifyouknowwhatImean.

A couple of pics from about 45 minutes ago, front yard and back.

Oh yeah, that’s just down from one of our PMs. Weird boundaries over there. He’s in Liberty Hill school district, but Georgetown address, and Leander utilities or something weird like that.

He’s our little slice of Leander this morning.

My pipes froze on Sunday night, and the rolling blackouts started last night. I was hoping it would get warm enough today to try and thaw them, but that’s not looking good. It actually froze at the meter and a 3ft exposed section just after it.

I’m down in San Marcos and I know I don’t have the worst of it.

    Pics from yesterday.

    upload_2021-2-16_9-51-26.jpg

Charlie and I recording a pic for neighbors who don't know how to shut the water off to their house. Check out my snowshoes!

    upload_2021-2-16_9-52-49.jpg

I was helping neighbors turn their septic pumps off, that is the pool lounger at the house across the street.

    upload_2021-2-16_9-54-20.jpg

A little bit of drifting is evident. I'm glad I propped up the Live Oaks in the background on Friday, I think they are going to make it with no breakage.

    upload_2021-2-16_9-56-14.jpg

The obligatory truck pic, before a run to HD to pick up a bird feeder.

    upload_2021-2-16_9-57-21.jpg

And after, to remember when the temps are triple digits 6 months from now. Stay warm, guys and gals!

I helped push this idiot around yesterday, who was trying to get in our neighborhood via the 2243 entrance, which is a slight hill. Rear wheel drive car, made it about halfway, and was spinning her wheels when I pulled in, off 2243. Her boyfriend/husband was standing there, talking to a neighbor of mine, who was telling them they could go around to the other entrance, if we turned them around the way they came. While I was walking up, I noticed the woman hadn't hit the brake, and one of her rear wheels was spinning on the ice. WTAF?

We just got power back earlier today after going 36 hours without it. Finally got the house warm and the phone charged.

Tried to go half a mile to H‑E‑B to pick up spare propane - and they were without power or water. Slaughter and Manchaca light was out, as were all other nearby lights. Didn’t stop the idiots from ignoring the “4-way stop” rule. Surprised no one got shot.

Got back home and decided I can stay here a few more days.
