    WAY TOO CLOSE!

Got back from the Docs (2nd of 3 rounds for knee lubrication injections). Bottle water had been dropped off, so five five-gallon bottles to bring into the house. Skies were pretty dark, but no rain. Just overcast and dark. Getting the water bottles into the house, went out to grab the last one. Picked it up my hair stood on end. wtf? Oh shit, dropped the bottle and rolled under the truck right went the lightning let loose. Way to close. It's hard to explain by my it sounded like frying bacon, intense sizzling. Yea, my heart is racing like crazy.

So I'm sitting here listening to the hail. My wife's CRV is in the garage but the truck is sitting there in the hail storm.

So how is your day going!

We were on the "tailhook" of that storm as it passed. Jarrell was 27 May 1997. Both of our vehicles were totaled by hail that day (as was the roof). Crazy memories, but that feeling remains. Today was just different, but mother nature letting us know we are just along for the ride.

    Take care everyone.

    Damn! Glad you’re okay.
    So sorry Chad!
I’d be happy with any kind of rain. We got enough to glue the pollen to the cars and that was it.

Mitch Rose is the owner. You'll see a couple of my reviews there, for my old Tacoma and the current Tundra. The shop ain't much, and Mitch can be one of those guys at time, but he does fantastic work, at a reasonable price.

I was out mowing the front yard, when the lightning strikes were too close, and the tree I was under was, well, too close also! Hurried everything under cover, just in time!

:pccoffee: Good Morning ATX! I better find something to do on this blustery day! I'm gaining weight just sitting. When it dries I can mow. Don't see truck parts until at least Tuesday....Guess I can box stuff in the garage.

Yeah, I have quite a few neighbors who don't park their vehicles inside, despite the fact that every house here has a minimum of a 3 stall garage. My next door neighbor has a new Tundra that has about 6-10 hail dents in it now.
