Do you ATX guys have anyone you recommend to do a Cab Mount Chop?
Looking to get some 285/75/16 Wrangler Duratrac's within the next week or so, and my truck is lifted 2" in the front with a spacer, but want to make sure it won't rub.

And before anyone says it, I know, I know, I need to get a real lift and ditch the spacer, but tires help me stick and stop and a lift doesn't. It's in the cards though. Soon.

@Texoma does them. He’ll be along shortly after 3 more people chime in with his name too.

It's funny cause after I posted I found his name plastered all over the other Texas forums. I actually reached out to him on Instagram in the meantime, thanks for confirming he's the right choice though!

Why do I continue to go to Toyota AutoNation in South Austin?! I set up an appointment for the frame rust recall (its a northern taco and has some rust) for 945 this morning. I would gladly take a new frame, but I just need a new coat of paint. I show up, wait around scrolling TW endlessly, and finally the tech comes back and hands me my keys and says sorry they are too busy to look at this today. Apparently the body shop does inspection and they are separate from the service department and even though it’s a stones throw away they don’t communicate. The body shop tech tells me they are separate from AutoNation, but she’s wearing a Toyota autonation shirt. None of this makes sense. I was told they called yesterday (missed call due to spam blocker) to confirm my appointment time and to see when I’m coming in and that’s why they can’t look at it, which left me slack jawed. I made an appointment at a specific time for a specific request 2 weeks ago.... :frusty:

I’m new to the area, but the week after I got here I went to Toyota Cedar Park to get service done and hot damn is it a good dealer. They did my state inspection and a rotation, so nothing major, but didn’t try to upsell me on anything and their dealership building is nice. I like this dealer way more than the one I was nearest to in FL.

That repair shop always took great care of me, but the rental car place attached to the body shop was a little…off.

I'm kinda torn on AutoNation S. I have given up on SM Toyota - trying to sell me on almost $3K of suspension stuff like I didn't know that I had @Texoma replace almost all of. Went to AutoNation with the RAV4 for the TSB on the gas gauges and tank fill issue. Went to SMT first, and they not only told me it's NOT a recall, and would do nothing, but I should try to drive different for better mileage. While I was on the phone with the Toyota Consumer group trying to straighten out what Entune killed, they said the would have AutoNation call me for the TSB service after I told them about SMT. And they did call. And the guy that made the appointment said he would have the parts in stock, since Toyota told him to. I show for my appointment, and the guy knows nothing. I say look at the notes, and he tells me if I don't know who called, he can't help. And they can't do anything today, because, yada..... But they will inspect it and see what parts it needs..... So, OK, might as well wait.......
Guy comes back and MIRACLE, they have the time because they HAVE the parts. Amazing. Now, they did do a bunch of the free service stuff I'm entitled to that SMT didn't bother with, but that's not a great first impression.
I guess all that's left for me when it comes to dealer service is one more try there, or out to Bastrop.

They mistakingly replaced my AC compressor a few years back when it was just the idler pulley. I took it in for the tick noise and they claimed they "fixed" the issue with a new AC compressor @$1200. Picked it up and the tick noise was still there. I even told them what to replace and they didn't do it. Threw a bitch fit and got the pulley fixed plus a $700 check to cover my cost of the compressor :beavisd:

It amazes me because when you go there it feels like your at a nice establishment. Free coffee, very nice waiting area.... but horrible service.
