KXAN just confirmed this morning that the city contracted 3 more companies to handle brush pick-up starting this week. Just having it on the curb should be good, but you can call 311 if they missed you.

Met up with @DownhillDragon this weekend to get my '21 DCLB tuned up. Ran into @Sypherd while there. Had a great time shooting the shit and getting some insight into the tuning process! Super happy with the tune as well - initial impressions the truck just outright feels better in every circumstance, and so far fuel economy seems up a fair bit as well! @DownhillDragon 's supercharged monster sure looks and sounds like a ton of fun, I'm jealous :D

You're lucky you don't live in podunk Leander. The only help we get from the "city" is a brush dump site; all hauling is up to the taxpayers. I can pee into Georgetown through my back fence, and if I actually lived there, I could have just stacked the brush on the street. Instead, 2 days of chainsaw and ladder work, dragging it to the driveway, and paying $350 to have it hauled off, we're good. But hey, Leander gives CapMetro 50% of the annual sales tax revenue, some 7-13 assclowns can ride it every day. :bananadead::frusty:

About 2/3 of the brush, as the guys showed up to start loading it.

Hope ya'll got out of last weeks mess!

I just happened to see two instances city tree cutters finishing up their work day and I asked them if I can have the firewood cut into chunks and they said sure. Given the state of things at the moment I think it will be best to start being self sufficient. Starting with free cut firewood!

Any first gen folks around these parts? (78759/78660 area).

    Cheers,
    EP

Feel blessed you were even provided a free brush dump site... We live in an un-incorporated island in the Round Rock area... Still pay taxes to RR and the RRISD (joke of an education system)...but get none of the services. So we had to pay to have it hauled off and pay dump / recycle fee's. Good thing is we don't have to deal with RR city ordinances / Codes. :) win some loose some. :)

I paid $350 for the guy in that picture to haul it off. So not free.

Do you pay RR utilities? If so then you should be able to schedule a pickup or dropoff to these locations. If not then I'm sorry :beavisd:

Welcome to the Austin thread! If you're looking to take it to a shop check out Rising Sun Japanese Automotive. They are not as expensive as the dealer & they specialize in Japanese vehicles. But there are plenty of shops around town that can do this for you they don't have to be specialists.

@Texoma is great as well!

Welcome to TW - I've added you to our Austin list.

Chris (@Texoma) is a VERY trusted member of the community and has done more lifts and work for TW members that I think even he remembers. He won't steer you wrong.
