Im currently redoing all the wiring, just because it looked crappy and was crappy. But there’s wires hanging out of it. I’ve currently got the onboard air system taken apart to rewire it and add a T in the line to run a hose off of it between the compressor and horns. Finding a tee that will work has been harder than it should have. Onboard water system needs to be wired. Putting catalytic converters and O2 sensors in on friday so I can pass travis co inspection, also need to steal a muffler off a stock 2.7 long bed so i can get rid of this glass pack. Also really needs an alignment, I have plates to set the toe but will probably take it into austin to have it done right it’s been a few years and eating up one tire pretty bad. I have gusseted alignment tabs so it holds alignment fairly well. I also bet my evaporator coil is very dirty so I need to dig in and mess with that so it’s a little more comfortable to drive

really trying to get everything done for cars and coffee this weekend

Ive tried 3/8, 1/2 and 15/32 (12mm). 3/8 too small, 1/2 way too big, 12 mm closer but still too big. I have a 10 mm coming in today and I am pretty confident its going to work. The horn runs off air brake line, if this 10 mm doesnt fit I am just tearing the line out and getting line that fits. Ive done 7 million different small projects that each arent relevant enough to type out but added together have made a pretty big difference

Now that I have spent the states GDP on parts for a 15 year old truck, can it be considered "overlanding" if I am homeless camping by the frontage road

Yep, I prefer metric because I am too dumb to do fractions. But its really annoying on stuff like this since most hardware stores dont carry metric hose Tees... I figured I could either hose clamp the hell out of 3/8 or jam it onto 1/2 (even warmed the line up a little to soften it and still couldnt get it to fit). But the 10 mm will be in today and hopefully it works.

Took some time today to work on wiring. Got the air compressor rewired (constant power from fuse block, relay switched to the cab). Just need the tee and need to go get a quick connect. In the top right corner of the cubby you can see a bolt which is grounded to the frame.

In semiconductor I have to convert standard lines to metric pretty frequently. Luckily swagelok in cedar park stocks slot of those conversion fittings.

Haha yep! I actually camped in the best top one time. I had taken it off and put it in my dads shop, he thought it was for a jeep he had sold and threw it away… I think the access roll up may still be in my storage unit, I had it on all the way up until I put fiberglass besides on. Loved the bestop, want to rig up a way to put one on TT fiberglass

I think we crammed it in my Prius when i picked it up from you if i remember it right. I still have the prius too

It did end up being 10 mm. Everything else on the truck is 10mm so it makes since that I put 10mm line on the horns 5+ years ago and forgot

Hyperdipped my wheels yesterday, looks like absolute garbage up close because I’ve never used this stuff before and my technique was bad. Definitely gonna have to redo it eventually but it’s good enough from far away in the meantime. IMG_3395.jpg IMG_3396.jpg

They have a lot of texture, feel like sandpaper in a lot of spots. I didn’t understand what the instructions meant by “wet out” the paint.

How much effort would you say that took? Any different then straight up sanding? I got 8 identical stock 03' rims for my double cab, four on the truck right now.

Also, do you think I can do this with the notecard trick? thanks!
