Okay so I see in third gen forums that almost everyone hates the third gen, but then theres these guys that love them, and they have previously owned tacomas... My question for the austin boys is "3rd gen do you love yours or hate it?"

I had a 2008 and have a 2016. Both are good trucks. People like to bitch on forums for no real reason.

The motor isn't suited to the driving I mostly do, but it's reliable and works pretty well on the trails.

 

Am I gonna need break lines for the 887's and bilsteins?

 

I have a 2007 FZ1 for sale too... The rack and case are not included and currently not on the bike. 13k miles and several options... Anyone interested? $4,500 OBO... also has an adjustable dogbone and kickstand so it can be lowered up to 3". Heated grips, ciggy power outlet, brand new tires, rear shock and battery. This was the wife's before she got the Beemer... this one was too heavy for her. Clean VIN and clean title... PM me with an email address is you want more photos or want to see it in person.

I'd entertain trading for a 4x4 ATV that isn't abused too...

 

so the tranny complaints are not of real concern? I'd really like to buy a third gen after I get my associates degree in two years or so.

'92 XLH1200 Sportster ( so carburated still none of that nonsense electronic crap )
Ill have to take some more pics later for you this is the only one i have atm.
Its set up like a dirt tracker, TONS of aftermarket stuff on it. Some of the parts in the picture are no longer on it but I still have them all. It currently has a different set of bars and a different exhaust on it. It has more dirt track style bars, and a thunder header 2 into 1 exhaust system.
Dont know the mileage because the speedo was broken when I got it but it runs great, havent had a single mechanical issue with it. I also have tons of aftermarket parts that could go with it. Its gone through a few transformations since I got it.
I have 2 or 3 pairs of bars,
3+ seats
Forward controls and mounts.
Stocks Suspension
Slammer Front springs (never installed NIB)
It currently has a screaming eagle Ignition system on it but I have a brand new Dynatek to go on it.
Thats only some of it. I have a ton of spare parts that I wont need if i sell it.
If your interested let me know and i can get more pics and a better list of parts to go with it.
