I'm in +1 and of course depending on the date. Could be +2 kids (11,13) if that's cool and it falls on other dates

What a hell of a couple of nights squad...

Mobtown tailgate skin is in! A good set of tools makes jobs easier! I struggled for ages and ruined multiple sockets from a cheap old set. Got a new set and knocked it out. The cap didn't go on because I stripped a bolt. @Texoma, im gonna need some quick help trying to get it out. It's on the top of the tailgate.

RTT delivered and I got the rails on and ladder mounted. Got it up on the bed rack solo, and then realized I had to move some bed rack cross bars. Pulled it down and will try again tomorrow.

Got the CVT awning too and got it mounted yesterday. This truck is coming together y'all!

    And the pics, of course:

What size hex wrench? Or was that a Torx?

2 quick options...well, 3 if it was a metric hex...first to are to try the SAE or metric "equivalent"...if that's not an option, and it was a metric hex, you can try the appropriately fitting torx.

Failing that, dremel a slot and get yourself a decent size flathead driver.

The easiest solution is probably an easy-out, which I'm sure @Texoma has.

It's a torx t30. Since I'm a n00b, I tried a t27, and man was that a mistake. I went and got a proper t30 and was able to easily get the other one out, this one just spun.

I learned a lot today... a "household" tool set is garbage and the right tool for the job makes the job easier.... both valuable lol.

You need to apply upward pressure to that screw so that the threads catch. Either put a screw driver under the head and pry up while you spin it, or press from the other side of the screw. Either way, looks like you need a new screw and possibly run a tap down those threads.

Yeah, pretty much wanting to get it on already also.

Not having to wait for a shop to get it coated will save me time and money
