Anyone here had to change an axle seal yet?

I had mine done about a year ago but ran into a big issue with letting someone else work on my truck.

 

I'm down for Wednesdays, I have nothing to do

I have some lights that I want to mount/ wire up. Only thing is I suck at electrical and honestly hate reading how to run/ hookup electrical. I get confused easily when it comes to wiring.

 

Which axle seal? 4 in the rear, 3 on the T-case, 3 on the front. I imagine you are talking about the rear flange seal though. Has to be put in at a certain depth or it will fail quickly if not immediately. Then the flange nut has to be pre loaded correctly as well.

 

As do I. Pretty much dreading hooking up my fuse panel and lights lol

 

I'm going to be replacing my front springs and probably wiring my alley lights (after putting it off for so long). I could be down to team up.

 

Let me know if you need any pointers on swapping springs, I'm just a text or call away.

 

The 2 on driver side rear, inner/ outer.

I had someone else do the job and instead of sliding the axle shaft into place he hammered it into place. The axle shaft is bent but I'm wondering if I need to replace all gears in the Diff?

I imagine you need to replace shaft, wheel bearing, and seals in that side. Gears should be fine, but if you need that excuse to regear, then hell yeah, do it up.

Do you have harnesses or some sort of switch installed? Or do you literally just have lights?

Will I need a wiring harness for my LED pods (when I get some) if I run the Blue Sea fuse box?

Will I need a harness for the Ditch lights too? (when I get them)

 

I think in that case you just need wires and switches, not harnesses.
