Actually, it wasn't to bad.

You need two batteries, a way to mount them (used the Columbia Overland tray), and a way to control it (used this:

I should have made a shelf or a bracket to mount the fuse box further back instead of the factory fuse box. But other than that pretty satisfied with the outcome.

Pretty much! If you want to go with Optimas, the make an cheaper tray especially for those.

I got the terminal crimp tool if you need to borrow it.

 

Sweet, I ordered the fuse block but prob won't do the dual batt quite yet. Thanks for the input and ill definitely hit you up when the time comes.

 

For now its just the hood lights, bed lights, ditch lights (not installed yet) and CB. but I am sure there are more things coming and i'd rather have it all cleaned up and easy to install the rest properly when the time comes.

 

The lights you can ground almost anywhere, but I suggest running the CB ground back to the battery.

 

You can also make a terminal block to run all your grounds to and daisy chain them to a common ground.

 

This is my intention, I got the Blue Sea block with the ground so I assumed it takes a main hot and a main ground and then everything leads to the fuse block. Block should be here on monday so Ill be looking at set up next week. Just gotta procure a couple of primary leads to go from the batt to the fuse block and I think the rest is pretty straight forward.

 

Pretty sure I have some 4g welding cable left over from my install, if you're interested.

 

This was before I cleaned up my wiring a bit, but I have the pelfreybilt mount + blue seas fusebox. Like someone said before, 12v is easy to wire. I used marine grade duplex wire for the majority of my wiring. I have emergency lights on my taco due to being a volunteer firefighter on my off days. It just takes time, patience, and maybe a little OCD to make everything look/work well.

 

Here is a picture of the Feniex Controller I use in my cab. Below is the master on switch for my emergency lights/siren and the lightbar. Some day I'll get around to making the on/off for the lightbar look better.
