I'd lend a hand- have all the tools you could need, but am a few states away

The move is definite now- coming out next September :D

Sounds good. I'll have the sucker installed next week. Thanks for offering help! I've only had a few responses. I looked at the how-to done by Chris at ECGS. Looks fairly simple but I haven't done it before so having a friend walk me through the steps as I do most the work. I could spend $100 on tools I need or $85 on gas to drive to my friends. Simple choice imho.

Right on- there is value of having your own tools, BUT even better if you need a hand from somebody who really knows what they're doin.

That's what I'm doing when I buy my lift- tons of TW dudes in SLC that have done it a few times. So instead of paying a shop as much as the lift costs to install it, buy some good beers and roll up the sleeves :D

Sliders'll be done and fully on tomorrow hopefully! Trading graphic design work for welding from a buddy trying to start up a custom fab business.

FNG here. Been reading up on the thread - any word on when the next Austin meet up may be? I've been known to bring beer if allowed.

Why don't we just come up with a date and time and figure out where, see if anyone wants to show? I'm thinking on a Sunday (hopefully it won't interfere with my quality Chicago Bears time), maybe late next month?

I work on my own truck, not saying I am a specialist but I can help with a few odds and ends.

Call Tony at Lambs Automotive & Tire off Lakecreek Blvd near 183N. He is a good friend of mine and I have a tech that formally worked at 4wheelparts in Austin that works with him. He has helped me more than I can think.

Oh, I am off next Sunday, not the one coming up. Next Sunday works for me.

How about we plan something for Sunday, Oct 28th? I'm thinking breakfast / coffee somewhere in the AM, or something like Dave and Buster's or a BBQ joint around lunchtime or so. Anyone down?

My guy lives in Round Rock, but he was a tech at Toyota for like twenty-something years, and really knows his sh*t...

By the way, I'm always down for wrenching if someone needs extra hands.

Even though I'm in IT now, I also spent 10+ professionally installing car audio, so I can help with that too if anyone local needs help.

Hey guys, I know this is off topic but I was hopping for advise. Lately I have been noticing a loud rattle sound from the engine on start up in the morning after it has sat a day and half. It only happens in the morning. The noise is worse when I put my truck into drive and hold the break. I can't hear the rattle when driving. After driving about 2 miles and the engine is worm the rattle/noise is gone. Kinda sounds like something is rattling in a can.
    I have a 2008 with 61,100 miles on it.

I checked the water pump and I don't see any leaks. I don't know if it could be the catalytic converter or a bad idle pulley.

    Any idea?
