    Hey yall,
Planning a trip to Southern Utah from Austin next month. I have the a rough idea of places to hit but wanted to see if anyone had suggestions on places to go, places to skip, and any other general information that might be helpful for the trip.
    Than you, 2D31D17F-07E1-4228-83F5-AB2729AA6894.jpg

In between Bryce and Arches is Capitol Reef NP. Neat place. Also not far from Arches is Canyon Lands NP. Great views and different than Grand Canyon.

Lots of neat places in UT.

I'm from Austin and live in Salt Lake now! Like @Paddtac20 said, Canyonlands NP is a great place to visit. Get down to the White Rim trail. It goes down along the Green river. A must see. Anywhere in the San Rafael swell along I-70 is great if you like crazy desert landscapes. Utah is awesome but don't tell any Californians. They'll move here and screw it up like they did in Austin.

In the southwest corner of Colorado your route takes you near Mesa Verde National Park. Indian cliff dwellings. You could also detour to Carlsbad Caverns.

Carlsbad Caverns are awesome. Kind of a detour though.
