    @MattCowsmasher i found some info that I believe confirms my thought that the reg antenna is the culprit.

    The weather and traffics are broadcast via HD Radio. On the FAQ page I linked to above here is the last question/answer that I think is most relevant to my situation.

    WHAT IS HD RADIO TECHNOLOGY?
    HD Radio technology is the digital broadcast of your local AM/FM stations. Many of your favorite stations broadcast a digital signal that allows you additional features that wouldn’t exist on an Analog signal.

    I am pretty sure the temp being displayed on your mirror is coming from a local sensor located on the truck somewhere. No clue where. Completely different than what I am dealing with.

    The Weather Forecast that shows up on the Head Unit Screen on my truck is received via HD Radio signal via the AM/FM antenna.

    Actually I would love to have the real ambient temp as you do but for some inexplicable reason my 2015 TRD OFF-Road does not have that in the mirror. :bananadead: That technology has been around for decades yet Toyota couldn't figure out how to incorporate it into my truck. SMH
