Now Chuck E. Cheese’s uses different ingredients for pizzas sold under the Pasqually’s name, but it’s still Chuck E. Cheese’s...

I worked at an independent pizzeria as a delivery driver and one fringe benefit was free pizza right out of the oven; As a result, I would never pay for the oversized rubber frisbees Chuck E. Cheese’s refers to as “pizzas”!

    That is some sneaky shit!

I haven't had Chuck E Cheese Pizza in over 2 decades. 10 year old me could barely tolerate that pizza then, so I can't imagine 34 year old me will find it to be a culinary masterpiece, either.

Randomly popping in because I saw Ghost Kitchen.

Ghost kitchens arent always a bad thing. Sometimes, it is a new business that wants to test products before opening their own stand-alone place. It gives them some start up capital as well as customer feedback on their products.

It also is for companies that want to test out a new change to a menu without ruining their current business model. Definitely have their pros and cons to this business style.

That's true. It was probably wrong of me to assume the worst. It could be that type of situation as opposed to Chuck E Cheese being an evil corporation.

There are some places around me that are built specifically for a kitchen sharing/ghost scenario, which is pretty cool. Some of them are food trucks trying out the old fashioned model. You can go to the shared kitchen, sit down and order just like any other place but you get to choose from 5-6 different restaurants. The members/tenants are always rotating and sometimes they go on to open their own brick and mortar or food truck or whatever else.

My dad did this with his restaurant in Oregon years ago. He let another person come in and try a menu on Sunday evenings when he wasn't typically open (breakfast, brunch, lunch only Sundays). The guy ended up doing super well and opened his own place in another part of the city, and my dad was a stakeholder in the new place.

An employee at a Chili’s in Bensalem where I picked up a ghost kitchen order told me that customers were not supposed to know they the food they were ordering was actually coming from Chili’s, but that it didn’t take long for them to figure it out anyway; This is unfair to independent restaurants in my opinion!

What you’ve just described about one restaurant loaning out it’s kitchen to another is perfectly fine!

These screenshots tell a story of how my DoorDash shift when this morning; My first order of the day was at a Dunkin Donuts in Warminster, which met my minimum requirement of seven dollars. Of course, the order went a few miles outside of my delivery zone so I had to drive a bit to get back into it...

Within seconds of marking the Dunkin order as delivered, I got two orders from a Chick-Fil-A in Newtown because “my area wasn’t busy”; I turned them down because they were both less six bucks and my minimum now is seven...

The Wawa order was local I believe, but like five bucks, and the ones below it were also in the $3.50 to $5.50 range...

The Burger King order was also insultingly low, and then the damn Walmart orders started coming in; I refuse to go Walmart anymore, for numerous reasons!

    0A312FF3-4AC3-4EEC-BB2F-0A21CE656178.jpg

The IHOP order was like $4.25, the Chick-Fil-A was also insultingly low, and the two below it came as a double order, both $6...

That next Dunkin order was also way too low, and then I ended up taking the Yum-Yum Bake Shop order because it met my minimum pay requirement of seven dollars...

One I delivered the donuts, two more Walmart orders came in, followed by the Walgreen’s order; I refuse to pick up at CVS or Walgreen’s because you have to shop for it yourself and then pay for it using the DoorDash red card. The pay is pretty much the same as picking up readymade food orders, but you have to do more work and go into a damn drugstore during a pandemic! o_O

That McDonald’s order was like $3.50, which means the customer wasn’t tipping, and the first Chick-Fil-A order was like $5.50; I turned that down and got another order from the same Chick-Fil-A for a healthy ten dollars (circled in red) which I readily accepted!

Apparently, but there’s a movement dedicated to getting the minimum payout increased to $7...

Oh, I see. So the payout to you would've been the amount you listed? That makes more sense. I was thinking people were ordering $4 worth of food from McDonalds to have delivered.

Lost two DoorDash magnets in the span of an hour because they didn't stick to the truck properly and blew off; Two new ones on order...

I've decided that in the interest of keeping my acceptance rate up, I'm gonna have to accept the occasional order less than $7...
