    Beats me man.
I don’t care what the other guy makes, I care what I make and if it’s enough for me.
If $8 an hour isn’t enough for you, then you did the right thing.

The only advice I can give you, don’t base your pay off the other guys.
The world ain’t fair man. And it doesn’t work that way.
Do the job at what you think is fair, not what the other is getting paid.

I only care about what I am getting paid, and I didn't sign up to have the staff shortage fall on my shortage.

I was thinking the same thing. 11 hours for one day to do orientation or whatever isn't the end of the world.

It wasn't orientation. Orientation was yesterday. That is when he sprung it on me that my first shift was gonna be until close (midnight)...

I never had a “bad” job.
The worst was probably the lumber yard.
You picked custom orders. And it was all outside. Rain, snow, sleet, and heat. 7am to 5:30. If you didn’t have the truck loaded at 5:30 you stayed until it was loaded. Worst part was the orders paced a 5:00pm. You weren’t getting the truck loaded by 5:30. At least 1 night a week you were there until close to 7pm.

There was a chance I could be doing this at least once week because they were short staffed. For goddamn franchise pizza place, Domino's has too many rules and holds its employees to obnoxiously high standards.

I am applying for a job at an HVAC/plumbing contractor, where I deliver parts to HVAC trucks on the job; I am based at warehouse in Horsham, PA and get a company truck to make deliveries. $16-$20 per hour, and 40 hours a week!

I have reason to believe that somebody from Domino's tried to gain access to my bank account, but unfortunately I have no way of proving it.

Yesterday, somebody called my parents' house claiming to be from my bank (Navy Federal Credit Union). They knew my first name, last name, and email address. They claimed that somebody by the name of Jonathan Mitchell had attempted to withdraw $400 and $200 from my bank account in two different transactions, using a Motorola phone (oddly specific). This guy claimed he had attempted to reach me on my cell phone, which was the first red flag, because I had no missed calls or voicemails from NFCU. I get notifications on my phone whenever I withdraw or deposit my own money, so I would I have noticed a withdrawal that big; I also saw no charges for that amount on my credit card statement.

I have given my full name and email address numerous times, so that's out there; I gave Domino's my checking account number, my social security number, and numerous other personal info. My dad believes that somebody from Domino's tried to make some easy money; Domino's is an international chain, but the Domino's that I was going to work at was one of numerous franchises owned by a management firm. The management firm ran the background check.

I can't remember the last time I used my debit card for anything, and the only entities that know my bank are PayPal and Venmo; I have never had a problem with either of the. I just find it to be too much of a coincidence that I gave Domino's my bank account number and within a week, this happened.

My parents and I called NFCU, and they said that they text customers about this sort of thing; I never got any notifications from NFCU. NFCU believes this was an attempted scam. The guy who called my parents' landline gave them his full name, and NFCU said that nobody by that named worked there; I say again that none of my money was touched and I have found absolutely no evidence that anybody attempted to access my account.

I see this as further evidence that I should stay away from Domino's.

I'm confused. Why did he even call your parents?
Was he asking other personal questions to obtain more information?
If not, that scammer sucked at scamming.

I live with my parents. Their landline was on my list of emergency contacts for the Domino's application. My parents also do their banking with NFCU and my dad has POA over my account in case of emergency.

I've been getting more soliciting calls lately.
Not sure how they got my number.
    I just hang up.

    Sometimes, I wish I didn't have a phone.
