If I get this job, I'll have the income to both save money and keep my beloved shitbox on the road for a couple more years!

Do not pick up the phone if you don’t know the caller. But if you do, or they leave a message, call your bank directly via the number on your card or their site to discuss the matter.

Do not discuss personal info from a call you did not explicitly request. Even then, be wary.

The caller ID said it was from Navy Federal, and it was my parents, not me...

My wife's grandparents had a similar scam happen to them but it seemed like the guy who called already had all their info and access to their account when he phoned.

    I didn’t use too.
But I have 2 family members that have some pretty big medical issues. If the area code is the same, I usually answer.
The thing is, the scammers can spoof any number they want.

Here they almost always spoof a number with the same area code and first 3 digits as yours.

I am back to Dashing until this job at the HVAC warehouse comes through. Luckily, I just received a notification that my application has been received!

Anyway, I use the "hourly" rate of pay rather than "per order" whenever I can, because I get paid better when there are unforeseen circumstances. This includes but is not limited to long wait times at the restaurant, getting stuck in traffic, and driving distances of more than five miles. I accepted an order from Wawa on Main Street in Doylestown Borough that was going to a nursing home just up the street less than half a mile. In my experience, the staff at hospitals and nursing homes has never tipped well, if at all; I was expecting to get at least $6 for this, but NOPE!

The last time I tried to donate blood, They said I couldn't because my blood pressure was too low.
That's been a few years ago, I should probably try again one day.

The last time they actual took blood was in 2009. I know, because I was at the hospital waiting for my nephew to be born.
They set up a blood drive at the local hospitals here a few times a year. They just happened to be there that day,

Let them do what ever they want. 91% is better than 90.....
If they terminate you, Oh well. Good riddance.
Sounds like a shitty place to work anyways.

You have had issues with them for well over a year now.
Obviously things aren't going to change.
You can either stay with them and continue to put up with the BS, or call it quits.

I'd be sitting at the house making my own dinner, while everyone else drives themselves to pick up their food.

On another note, DoorDash is heavily pushing drivers to deliver in Philly. You look at this promo and you think it's a deal, but then you click on it and realize they have to make 250 deliveries in Philly in 60 days. Um, how about no...?

And that's the other thing; I would never use DoorDash as a customer. If people want to pay double or what their meal costs, then that's fine by me, but I would never order from DoorDash or Uber Eats!

Going back to the "Valentine's Day Gig Worker Strike" yesterday, it would appear that food delivery drivers joined rideshare drivers in not accepting orders; I opened the Dasher app yesterday, and both "Doylestown" and "Fort Washington/Horsham" were busy, which is generally unheard of in the Philly suburbs during the afternoon. I did not DoorDash yesterday anyway because I wasn't feeling well.

DoorDash used to be a legit side hustle, but now payouts are shit and veteran drivers like me are getting wise to it. When a Dasher gets an order, they are often driving and don't have the opportunity to safely read the details. On numerous occasions, I have taken a seemingly high-paying order, only to realize that it is two lower-paying orders that are going from the place to two different customers or from two different places to the same customer. Sometimes, the orders will be from two different places to two different customers. I lost count of how many orders I unassigned because they weren't what they seemed, and when the mandatory minimum cancellation rate was 80%, I could stay well above that and unassign bullshit orders without worry.

My honest-to-goodness theory here is that DoorDash knows veteran drivers are waking up and smelling the bullshit, so they are trying to unfairly deactivate veteran drivers so the market will clear up and newer drivers will come in who DD knows will be more willing to accept the BS orders. I know how to game the system, but I will be applying for more jobs once I get over this bug that I've got.

Uber Ears is wayyy more lenient when it comes to drivers unassigning orders after acceptance Mg them, but they are not without their faults. Uber has improved greatly, but one area where DoorDash has Uber Eats beat is that if you schedule yourself for a specific zone, DoorDash is pretty good about keeping you in that zone. In some parts of Montgomery County, DoorDash will try to get you to take orders into Philly, but Uber Eats is far worse of an offender in this respect. They will also try to send you to Newtown when your are in Buckingham. Jenkintown can both easy and lucrative on DoorDash if you know what you're doing, but that area is close enough to the city that in short order, you end up getting tons of orders that are either going to Philly or at a restaurant in Philly.
