It’s not bad. I have an alien gear IWB holster I use as well as an appendix carry holster. Pre covid and the quarantine 15 the appendix carry was comfortable but I need to lose some belly for it to be comfortable again.

VP9 all day long. I carry appendix and OWB(winter) and love it. previous carried were Glock21 and Glock 22. VP9 blows them all out of the water.

Charlie here is my advice on this matter
    P365
    Glock 43
    Glock 19
    Glock 26
Glock 43x with standard arms 15rd mag

Bonus with the Glock 19 is a lot of police forces carry the Glock 17 so you can use a G17 mag in your G19 if shit really hits the fan.

And remember Charlie the firearm is only good as the person using it. Training is more important

Sig 365 in 9mm would be ideal. Slim, carries a lot of rounds, crisp trigger pull, about $400.

One thing to note though, ammo is rare and expensive right now, so frequent range visits isn’t advisable at this point. I’ve seen a box of 9mm for $60 around here when I used to buy them for $6. I’d recommend getting some snap caps to at least practice drawing, firing (never dry fire), loading a gun, reholstering, etc.

the sig 365 is from a reputable high quality company, the guns are all quality, very rarely have issues, (heck Jack Bauer used a Sig- sig 226 I believe)

me personally I stay away from glocks. Never understood the obsession with them. Lots of other gun companies with much better quality in the same price range: Sig, Beretta, etc....

    Glock 43X or Sig P365XL

Both small enough to CC, but large enough to actually shoot comfortably.

Don't get caught up with all the gun folks opinions. I love shooting, but I don't talk to "gun people" ever haha.

An mPX-k in a backpack is a great concealed carry pistol and range gun. Just depends on your style.

While I agree with @Lawfarin and @Sig45 and would say go for something like the Glock 43X because it'll conceal well but give you a solid grip area and good capacity as well, I will also be that guy, just for all y'all.

I picked up a Taurus G2C a little over a year ago and it is just as comfortable to shoot and to carry as all the other handguns I have owned, and that irks me because while aftermarket support for it exists, it is fairly minimal.

My Wife swears by her S&W SD9VE but I think it kicks like a mule comparatively.

Now that being said, I have other carry options to choose from. Being that you're looking for just one, I usually suggest the S&W M&P 2.0 Compact.

My buddy carries one everyday. I had one but sold it to him and picked up a G3c. They only complaint I had on the G2C is the finish on it had some rusting on it from carrying against my body after a few days in the summer. The new G3c I picked up for $279 and the coating seems better

What type of holster do you holster one in with a light attached? I’ve never had a light on any of mine is why I ask.
