Spend more on my lil aspiring baja build or save my money for an off road only beater build

Hello, first time poster. This is my long question I'm gonna retype after accidentally deleting it the first time:annoyed:. I have a 2015 4 door prerunner with a trd exhaust tip and trd offroad sticker. It's an automatic 2wd 4 cylinder non trd (fake news tacoma). I put a 2"x3" leveling kit and 32" method wheels and falkien tires. The truck isn't fast but I dick around in the desert with it a lot and it's a lot of fun and capable in spite of the lack of power. Can I start to shop for a more robust suspension set up and lower gearing in an effort to have a more fun and pillowy ride through the whoops? Or, is this a bad idea as loading down my already under powered truck with more weight from suspension components will eventually be the death of my little 4 banger motor? I hope to spend 1k-3,500$ on shock upgrades. Sorry if you're not supposed to have long ass questions, this is my first time doing the internet box.

Uhm... underpowered? Its 160 hp. That's more than a full sized v8 truck from the 80's.
Death to the 4cyl? It takes something serious, like a nuclear bomb, to kill one of these things. Did you know that they're also used in coaches?
Just let the motor wind out and don't be a pussy. It'll do the work.
