    I installed a car seat in the center of my DC and ever since, the auto dim mirror wouldn't work. Driving in this morning I couldn't take it any more!

    I grabbed it and gave it a flip.

    Presto, works like a charm :D

    Time = 2 seconds
    Cost = $0
    Reward = A+

    I also installed the Escort QI45 this past weekend. LOVE it!

    Located it in the coin holder to the right of the steering wheel (used a small "L" bracket from Lowes and 3m molding tape). You can see the display through the steering wheel hole on the right while driving (it was dark, so it's not clear) but works great.

    This would work well...unless you have a backup camera.

    is that an OEM auto dim mirror or did you put in an aftermarket one?

    I assume that flipping the OEM mirror upside down solved his problem of the auto-dimming feature not working. I would have never guessed that would have been a solution. Wow.
