Auto-dim rearview mirror not working after windshield replaced

Hi all,

I tried searching for a previous post about a similar issue but I couldn't find out. I had my windshield replaced recently, and now the auto-dim mirror is always dark. There's power to it as the compass still functions and the reset button is lit up. Is the mirror shot and needs to be replaced or is there a trick I haven't found to getting it set back up correctly to only dim only when its picking up bright lights. This technology stuff just drives me nuts.

Not sure if changing the windshield would have anything to do with the mirror unless someone damaged the wiring which comes in from the top of the mirror. Check the wiring or take it back to the place that changed it and complain. It worked before the change. Good luck

 

Yeah, they F-ed up the wires. Take it back.
