A friend of mine has an '04 auto and he noticed that the console gear shift selector does not light up when he turns on his lights. I have an '09 and mine does. I'd think the entire first generation would have been made the same. So before I help him take it apart and check for a burned out bulb, should the console selector light up? (we already checked all fuses)
    Thanks.

Thanks tacoman355. I know the console comes apart pretty easily. I just wanted to know for sure before I do it. Before I got the '09 I had an '01 but it was a manual.

I just changed mine, not a difficult job when I went to buy a replacement make sure you have the old bulb for comparison, the one they sold me was similiar but too small, it wouldn't fit tight in the socket 2 bulbs $3.95 was down at the big box lumber yard in the auto section and noticed the bulbs I needed 2..$1.98.
