So I hit the button once, the auto lsd light comes on, it's active, correct?

It appears you need a good bit of throttle to get it working. The tail will step out pretty easy on a snowy road when you stomp on it in auto lsd, which in my mind tells me it's working.

correct. it senses wheel spin and applies the brake to the wheel thats spinning...its not actually a LSD
