Ugh. Damn electrial nannies. We have an awd vibe (same as matrix) and it WILL NOT do a donut. If you turn the traction control off, as soon as it slides or spins at all, it beeps and turns back on. Damn death grip against fun.

The auto LSD is a nice step between regular 2wd and 4wd. What I like most about that mode is it doesn't kill engine power when the wheels spin.

My driveway is really icy right now, quick punch of the traction button and I get up it easy without having to put it in 4wd.

So Auto LSD won’t cut the throttle?

Auto LSD is neat, but nothing beats a locker. Been stuck a couple times in my SR5 and could’ve easily gotten out of those situations with a locker... my two 2nd gens both had lockers and I guess I got spoiled lol.
Sold the sr5 (not just because of the open diff) and got me an OR again :)

If you’re not getting stuck with what you do, you don’t need it. I’m just a goon and like to go places I shouldn’t

Half the people in this thread think we are talking about limited slip differentials....

    Drugs are bad mmm'kay....

I do think "Auto LSD" is a bit misleading, I can see people being tricked into thinking it's a real limited slip. Brake simulated LSD would be a more accurate name, then the acronym would be BS LSD. That would be a fair description of it, even though it does have it's uses.
