Anyone know of a good auto parts recycling spot in the North Bay near San Rafael? I've got some old springs/struts, rotors, etc that I'd like to get rid of.

I take my old spare parts to Sims Metal-Hayward. They have a bin for recycling.

What happens if we just recycled old springs/shocks into our blue bins?

Ever since they no longer take car parts when scheduling large item pick up, everything goes into the black bin.

I really need to get this done. Will look em up and give them a call. Need to get rid of 20 year old leaf springs/coils. Also have a crap ton of bearings I want to recycle. I was going to toss the bearings but keep imagining a small animal being inquisitive enough to get their head stuck in them.
