I don’t know if anyone can help me out with this. I cannot seem to figure it out.
I had the Bluetooth on in my phone and it auto connects to the Tacoma every time I get in I have a primarily so I can use my phone while driving or for maps and directions but music from my tunes playlist on my phone keeps automatically playing every time I get off the phone or get in my car. I cannot seem to find a way to disable it from automatically playing the current song on my playlist. It’s an iPhone. Anyone have any idea how to disable automatically playing a song if I switch it over to another source, for example satellite radio it automatically starts playing the station, but I want to keep The radio on so I can make phone calls. Thanks

I had the same frustration, and have looked into it for a while online, it doesn't seem there is a fix other than disabling bluetooth on your phone every time. Apparently this is a Toyota 'feature' and you can't disable it. Let me know if you find out something different.

    Think i got it.
Push the power/ volume button and make sure it say audio off on the screen. The phone will still work through the speakers but the music won’t play. Really weird
