Because when an engine is not running, the world will get greener by the second, according to her. I was making a joke, btw; not sure if you got it/took it as such.

She should take electric planes around the world, you're right. So should Elon. Not sure why they don't.

    Nothing major yet.
In my RAV4 you can just press a button to turn auto stop start on/off. I assume the Tacoma will come with this feature too. Anyone know if it will?

The problem is you're trying to make sense out of something that makes no sense. Just nod your head and go along with it. It's easier.

Does anyone's 4G havd auto start stop? I can't recall seeing a 4G that has auto stop.

With all the high tech these days IMO it's naive to not to buy an extended (factory) warranty (edit: if you plan on keeping it) . And even that can get pushed aside sometimes when it comes to expensive repairs. Ford seems to be the worst, just ask a F150 owner who needed cam phasers replaced at 50K in a 2 YO truck with a 5yr 60K powertrain warranty, $3~4K repair, the factory might pick up all of it, some of it or none. Totally hit or miss and the extended warranty won't always cover it. Of course they don't tell you that when you purchase the warranties. They are doing the same thing with some of the recent transmission repairs. Then consider that the Bi Led headlight for the same truck is $1100, you'd be wise to cover your ass. Not sure on the new Toyotas but I wouldn't want to own any of the new high tech vehicles after the honeymoon period is over (<100K).

Yep. Humans barely produce any carbon. Plus any carbon that we produce gets absorbed by the trees. Carbon tax is a complete robbery.

This whole “global warming” shit is a complete scam and it’s just there to scare us and get more money out of us.

ok I’ll stfu know and go back to work :)

I just drove my new Sport home tonight. There is no button to turn off the start/stop because…there is no star/stop feature. So I guess that is good news!

Extended factory warranties are fine if you do two things. One, plan on keeping the vehicle for a long long time after the base warranty expires and two, do not buy the warranty at the point of sale. Save your money until a bit before the base warranty expires, then buy the warranty online from an authorized dealer. First, you don't have money tied up paying for a warranty when you already have one and if you decide to sell before the base warranty is nearing it's end, you don't loose money and secondly, it's far cheaper to buy from a dealer advertising online. Point of sale is much more expensive for the exact same warranty.

The AS/S is not good for Guam where we can sit at a light for 5 minutes or so in about 90 degrees Fahrenheit

lol what are you talking about? I have the new Tacoma and haven’t altered how I brake at all. I very rarely activate the as/s at stop lights. I’ve never applied a lot of brake, I usually coast up to a stop light. No sprained ankles here bud. Lmfao
