Hi Team Taco gen 1 people.
I just tried to replace the tranny fluid & filter. I bought the 'kit' from Amazon:
"YzusGomumu A340F A343F Automatic Transmission Filter Oil Pan Gasket Kit. "

Installed it a week ago [today is10.17.24. I used a man made plastic type 'wire brush' and buffed the tranny pan top and the tranny bottom [aluminum] surfaces perfectly clean shiny metal. used some charcoal starter to get any oil off. then sprayed some 3-m adhesive to the pan top, put down the 19 hole black gasket from the kit, soothed it down. then put silicone on top of that and on the atf fill stem joint and put all back together. now 1 week later, i see that F***ing gasket squished out in 2 places and leaking lots of atf. So much for all of the Youtube videos on how to do it. TOTAL WRONG ! no video on how to use the F.I.P.G.....

Today i called my local Toyota dealer, shocked to hear that NO GASKET IS USED, only use:
    Genuine Toyota F.I.P.G Trans 00295-01281....
NOW im buying it on Ebay 3.5 fl oz., $31.57, dealer asked $44 +tax.
SORRY to be long-winded, my question is. How should I clean the top of the pan and bottom of the trans so this stuff will stick ?
    Thanks Team,

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
Just make sure the mating surfaces are clean.

Here's a video with a guy using FIPG on a 100 series transmission. Transmissions with it and 1st gen Taco are very similar.
