As my DD and work truck, auto. And I've heard/seen that the toyota manual trans is not as strong. Friends FJ has always popped out of at least reverse and grinds once in a while and doesnt have high mileage. Sports car definitely would need manual.

Auto, only because I'm forced to by "the man". My 4runner and Tundra don't have a manual option.

Manual all day every day. I commute daily in Los Angeles and I don't mind it all, it's a little annoying in really bad stop/go traffic but honestly no more so than in an auto for me. I've been driving manual for so long it doesn't phase me.

After better than 20 years of driving a manual, I got an auto this time around.

I would have gotten the manual if I lived somewhere less congested; but the traffic just about makes me want to go postal anymore when I have to row through it.

I'm probably the ONE GUY that likes the new auto though, it's great once you're used to how to use the different modes!

Bilstein 5100's w/ Eibach coil overs in front (set at 3" of lift). Front diff drop kit. Extended Bilstein 5100's in the rear. Deaver 2" AAL in rear w/ axle shims. 285 x 75 r 16 Goodyear Duratracks. Wheelers steelies type B, AFE cold air intake. Sway bar delete. All Pro Apex front bumper (rattle canned Rustoleum primer + flat black). Plasti-dipped emblems. Mud flaps removed.
You need to have a new pickup with an auto and an old one with a stick, best of both worlds.

    Stuff and junk and things...
The Taco is a manual, great theft deterrent.

5th gen T4R is an auto, the kick down programing sucks horribly.

My 3rd gen 6.7 Cummins with the 6 speed auto it great. Toss in the factory exhaust brake and the lock up converter it will slow 20K very well.
