Damn man, sorry you got the short end of the stick.

To clarify some of this, @CaptAmerica is most likely correct, we have recently gotten some new CS people and also changed some of their procedures. Probably got someone not quite sure what to do. In the event of receiving a defective/broken part you won't have to pay the return shipping, no doubt about that!

We do drop ship directly from the manufacturer, no parts actually cross my desk or this office in general. The manufacturer is where this is going back to. Now dependent upon whether it was damaged during shipping (fedex's fault) packaged poorly (warehouse fault) or simply a defective part (vendors fault) it takes time to identify this via your description and pictures. The description and pictures are needed so we can bill the correct people to be reimbursed for the part. We say "48 hours" because VERY often the manufacturer or warehouse don't respond to us very timely. Now if they take a day to reply, and then the next day is that's persons day off we've very quickly made it to 3 days. Don't forget the vendor and warehouse are closed Saturday and Sunday, so that throws a nice wrench in the gears too.
I don't want to pass the blame or make excuses for anyone, but if you want to know, there's a lot more that happens behind the scenes to take care of a damaged part received even just 20 minutes ago. Same procedure for 20 minutes or 30 days.

I totally get it though man, I'd be super disappointed getting a part and it failing out of the box too. Also know there's probably someone here who won't take the best care of you, it's the customer service industry so it's someones first day and possibly someones last. If you run into a problem or don't feel like you're being taken care of the way you need to be I'm happy to help as well. I can't do it all, I'm a sales guy whose of late been spending half my time working with the marketing department. I can't handle CS matters but at the very least I can look into them and try to help the best I can. I've said this from the beginning, I'm a member of this forum first, been apart of TW since 2008 and been working here since 2014. I'll do whatever I can for you guys so long as it doesn't get me the axe! Haha. Also feel free to shoot me a PM so I can further help you if needed, doubt you'd like any personal info on the open forum. Hopefully CS already is taking care of you but I'm here if needed.
