Autodip USA offers a spray type vinyl product. Anyone familiar with this product? I’m about to do this to my taco due to the cost of it and my buddy having a paint booth.

    Edit: https://www.us.autodip.com/

Forgot to add the link. Lol

    Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

Do you have any pictures of prepping or the finshed product? I’m more then Likely going to do this soon.

What color did you decide to go with?

I used the spray cans. I just wiped with denatured alcohol. Here’s the wheels I did. I have a better picture but it won’t upload.

That does look good. I plan on wrapping my whole truck due to paint chips flaking off.

You're going to sand and treat your entire truck's exterior (meaning where the paint chips and flakes are) and then paint it with Autodip? You sure you want to do that? To do that right would be roughly the same prep work as repainting a car correctly if you want it to turn out well. Why not just repaint it if that's the case? I don't know how well Autodip is going to hold up on the large flexible surfaces that are your doors, panels, hood, roof, etc.

haloEFX does it similarly but for less. You can even wetsand and buff the clear coat and still be able to peel it all off.

If you can peel it all off, Mother Nature will do that for you after a few years. Pretty pricey solution for a temporary fix, better to just do it right and repaint the vehicle.

Cool video - hope the OP realizes the effort involved to do this. As I'm going through the process on my 2003 right now we decided that going with a high quality clear coat after a repaint with the factory color was a better appearing solution.

OP says he has chips and flakes. Going to need to prep that surface. You suggest he just put the Autodip on top of that existing chipped paint surface after sanding and polishing it?
