Pump nozzle is probably faulty. I have never had problems pumping gas, just regulating the consumption once it's in my tank lol.

Stunod is southern Italian dialect for having one's head in the clouds and not paying attention, from the Italian "stonato" which means "out of tune"

Do you guys in Merica still have the pumps that you can turn on and walk away with it filling the tank?? Those were all discontinued in Ontario years ago, possibly Canada.. not real sure.

Depends on the state. Last time I was in New Jersey, you couldn't even pump your own gas.

I've seen some dumbass lady screwing around with stuff in the backseat passenger side while the pump was overflowing and overflowing on the driver side. I had to walk over and shout at her to get her to pay attention.

Me? I don't trust the things and stand next to the pump.

We have both here in Florida. I like to monitor it rather than walk away though.

Some stations in Louisiana took the locking lever off, but people just stick their gas cap in there now, so it didn't fix anything.

it a pump problem. they are supposed to have a sensor in them that detects the fuel backing up the filler neck

    "
As the gas level in the tank rises, the distance between the dispenser nozzle and the fuel grows smaller. A small pipe called a venturi runs alongside the gas nozzle. When the end of the venturi pipe becomes submerged in the rising gas, it chokes off the air pressure that holds the nozzle handle open and shuts down the flow of gas. Unfortunately, this shutdown can sometimes happen before the tank is full as the rapidly flowing gas backs up on its way into the tank. This can cause the gas handle to spring open before pumping is complete, leaving the annoyed customer to squeeze the handle again and risk the possibility of overflow. Pausing briefly will allow the gas to continue into the tank and the pump nozzle to start pouring gas again.

For more information on fuel and fuel efficiency, take a look at the links on the next page."
