What kind of "mod"...?? To turn them OFF, or turn them ON..??

No idea what you are asking...

He's talking about automatic headlight. That turns it's self on when it getting dark & off when it gets light. That's at least what I think you meant.

    Stock for now.
He probably means both. Coming from a bmw that had them. It was different getting into a new vehicle without them. But could be a nice mod.

It can't be hard. My '98 Sonoma had one.

OTOH, it's not hard to turn on the lights either .

And even the ones on my '13 base auto shut off when the ignition is off and the door is opened. As does my '14 Highlander, now that I think about it.

Don't the '16's do the same?

It shows you having a 2016 Taco, so you already have automatic lights.... Do you want to "MOD" then so they do not work? Or are you just being a dumb ass..??

I'd vote....DUMB ASS all the way.

My '16 Limited has automatic lights. Retrofitting probably wouldn't be too hard.

Unless you have a limited or P&T package, you don't have automatic headlights. Most of us are used to this option. Those of us who didn't want a sunroof are interested in how to get it back.

Ya, I'm assuming in the programming and need to change the headlight stalk to have the setting. Seen a few mods on here for windshield wiper delay and cruise control, so this is probably available too through changing out the stalk.

No he doesn't. Only the limited and the TRD with Tech package include auto headlights. Note that is NOT the same as "auto-off".

You should take the time to learn more about the trucks before you start calling people dumbasses.

You call the OP a dumbass, but if you look he has a 2016 SR, so he will not have auto headlights.

So maybe ask a few more questions or pay attention to detail before calling someone a dumbass on a public forum. By the way, just so you know, and I know you really don´t care, but you made my ignore list.

Sorry OP for some people here. I don´t have any info on adding auto headlights to the SR, but I would imagine it could be done, just for how much is a different story. You will need the light sensor, the correct light stalk, and maybe a wire harness addition if not already pre-wired for the sensor. ( most manufacturers use the same harness across the board because its cheaper to mass produce one harness and just not use all the connectors vs. producing multiple harnesses).

OP, have a look here, not sure if this will work but it's worth investigating.
