    Guys,

I have a 2013 DCSB V6 (4x4) Automatic tranny with (43,000 miles). For the last 8,000 Miles i have had a shutter in down shifting right around 38-40 MPH when on an incline around 2,200 RPM, it down shifts part way, then graps a gear. well i have also been also having a 500 RPM slip going into 5th (Overdrive). I took it to a toyota shop last night, and just got a phone call, telling me the flar is normal, and the "harsh shift " is normal. this is F--- BS.... what should i do?? i was basicly given the cold shoulder....

i feel the pain, i have the automatic tranny as well and mine slips when i go up even the slightest incline then grabs a gear and lunges you forward!! its a bit annoying and kinda embarrassing around town haha!! i took my truck to the stealership and they told me that they really didn't know but replacing a shift solenoid would probably help it but its like $200 and ive yet to go try it!! hope this help! im in the same boat as you though!!

disconnect negative batt terminal for 30 minutes....... when mine acts up this helps for awhile.... not sure why, and not sure if itll help you, but its worth a try and free.

had a tech ride with me while he had his laptop plugged into OBD2 port running techstream and nothing showed up on his screen even tho we both felt a sloppy 4-5 shift.

how does it act if you shift it manually? seems like you could determine
if it is internal (still acts up with manual shifting) or a control issue (if
it worls ok manually but not in full auto)...just a thought

Maybe a second opinion from an aftermarket transmission shop in writing so that Toyota backs up their warranty .Most shops will test drive for free .
Then take the Toyota technician for a ride and duplicate the issue .Everybody drives differently .
Make sure the technician has the techstream hooked up to the ECM during the test drive .
