Aux backup light wiring question

    i just finished wiring some extra backup lights, 18w led pods. I wired them so that they turn on when the truck is in reverse, and can also be powered on via a cab switch anytime, including while driving. I've been running this same setup on my Jeep for years without issue. It dawned on me though, that if I I turn them on while driving with the switch, then the truck might think it's in reverse and maybe cause a potential issue or fry something. The backup camera does also turn on when I hit that switch, same thing in my Jeep but hasn't caused an issue. I don't go driving around with the back lights on all the time or anything, but there has been a couple occasions where it's been handy.

    Just thought I'd update this for future reference..
    Everything works as planned and tested the lights with the truck in forward motion (I have the 6speed) without issue.
